JOOJ PRODUCTIONS | "TAKE ONE"

Videos like this make you feel like the future is bright for the next generation of skateboarders. Enough kids going out and going hard like this, we'll have plenty of great clips to watch down the line. The inspiration to skate gnarly obstacles just for the sake of it is what pushes skating in the craziest ways. For these kids to do it just for the clips and not because some major sponsor is paying them, that shows how dedicated these kids are. And even more importantly they are having hella fun . . . that kid DJ in the beginning is a trip.

The filmer Julian or Jooj is an interesting specimen, highly motivated, down to put in work on the camera, but also really social, he doesn't hesitate to ask questions, and I think that quality can take a person really far in whatever they choose to do.

The video features mainly Gabe Schuch, Tommy Hanzdel, and Navarre Brown, plus a pretty nice mix of homies, myself included. There are a few bangers for sure along with a variety of styles from the younger gen. Projects like this are special because they are just about skateboarding with the homies, not some weak brand trying to come up using skaters or some weird stuff we see too much of these days, just skating. Who ever ends up in front of the camera is who ends up in the video.

Just go skate, get some clips, make a montage, skateboarding is the reason, you don't need another reason, everything else is just icing on the cake.
