It's always a celebration on our end when a new Chicago video drops, but this time we decided to do something special. We started something new, who knows where this will go, but here it is, the first episode of Traba-Radio featuring an interview with Harald Reynolds.
Travel is such a hot topic in skateboarding, everyone wants to leave where they are from, and go see the world. We often forget however, the more we travel, the more our home becomes foreign to us, especially when you move away from your home country. As for Adilson, owner of Since Skateboards, an expat from Brasil who now lives in Barcelona, going to his home country is now a vacation for him.
I managed to pull together a bunch of footage from a ton of filmers to make this Caravan Edit. It was like searching for all of the Dragon Balls and making a wish (2 minute HD part. . . . pretty please!)
Watch what the heavy hitting Brazilians do just for fun. Daniel Galli takes a vacation to New York, and joins forces with the likes of Yuri Faccini and many other Brasilian beasts. Add VX1000 and the rest is history.
Miguel Huerta takes us through a rare glimpse behind the scenes of some pretty recent DIY spots and from creation to getting clips on the fresh 'crete. The Midwest DIY Scene is going through an awakening. If this doesn't make you want to stop at Menard's or Home Depot before your next skate mission, I'm sorry but there is no hope.
Klavis continues to capture the locals of Barcelona carrying out daily operations. Plenty of homies in this edit, if you're looking for another snapshot underground Barcelona skateboarding, here it is.
Full lengths are one of the hardest things in skateboarding to pull off, and it is especially impressive when someone does it from a place of passion. It's like there is a feeling that only an independent skate video give you.
Petshop edits always make me happy for some reason. Those creative ways to skate the spot are properly complimentary to the well-known methods and create well rounded experience all at one spot.
Graham Thoms, Chicago O.G., is known for his unique style and adaptability. His love for skateboarding has taken him around the world, and he has a knack for integrating himself into different cultures while maintaining his individuality. This video part focuses on his time in Panama City from 2018-2019, doing plenty of Sw Bs Tails, to the delight of local skateboarders. Thoms' ability to immerse himself in diverse environments while staying true to his roots makes him a fascinating figure in the skateboarding world.
Ben Larson recently held a premiere for the new Losing Skateboards video, "Around" to celebrate the new boards for Steven Bailey and David Gackstetter. Ben, in his Rockford-based screen printing shop, prints all the boards and apparel for Losing Skateboards.
I've known Josh for quite a while so I'm always hyped when he puts out some footage. Dave Green, owner of WNTR shared the part. Dana Ross AKA Pizza has been coming to Chicago year after year and now releasing and premiering multiple full length videos in Chicago and other cities. I had to ask the man a few questions, so we can get to know what's goin' on with him!
